Structural Games between Food and Art

An introduction to the use of food as a material in artistic practice in which Alicia presented her own work and that of others in the eat art and food art world. Participants investigated the narrative content of food, its symbols, associations, and its role in culture and in our everyday lives. Practical exercises employed the idea of play, the invention of games and their corresponding rules, to explore the interpretation and manipulation of foods in artistic practice. The workshop culminated in the production of individual final projects presented on the final night.
